Getting Started

This final course paper will summarize a worldview that is aware of how the Bible reveals the truth about each of the themes that have been studied in this class. The goal of this paper is to summarize your comprehension of what the Bible reveals of God’s understanding of the truth about each of these five biblical themes.

Upon successful completion of the course material, you will be able to:

• Explain in summary the biblical insights on what God reveals as the truth about each of these five major biblical themes.
• Describe how this worldview, in total, influences how one lives one’s own life if one chooses to believe in its truth.

Instructions

1. Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.
2. For this assignment, use your research, what you have learned in the discussions, and your journaling to write a five- to seven-page paper that follows APA guidelines. (The required page count does not include the cover page.)
3. In this paper, respond to the following prompts:
   1. In six distinct sections, summarize what you have discovered the Bible reveals about the truth of each of these biblical themes. Keep in mind that you do not have to agree with the Bible’s positions, only demonstrate that you, as a student, understand what it claims to be the truth.
      1. Creation
      2. God
      3. Humanity
      4. Sin
      5. The Good Life
      6. Salvation
   2. Select three biblical texts for each theme that you believe support your analysis of the Bible’s position on these themes, and explain why these scriptures substantiate your view.
   3. Explain the effects in your life if you accepted the biblical perspectives of how God has defined the truth concerning each of these biblical themes.
      1. These effects could include your self-worth, your evaluation of the other persons, your view of what is valuable, your concept of a good life, your eternal destiny, etc.
      2. This section should at least be three-quarters of a page in length and address each theme separately.
4. Be sure to include your last name in the file name when you save your document (e.g., Amanda Smith would name her Workshop Five, Activity 5.5 assignment: SMITH-WS5A5.5.docx).
5. When you have completed your assignment, save a copy for yourself and submit a copy to your instructor using the Assignment submission page by the end of the workshop.
